Fundraising Consultant // Job Summary
431 Ministries is looking for a Fundraising Consultant to assist in the exponential growth that the Lord has put before us! We feel strongly that the Lord has called us to increase our reach to serve 431 unique women in Middle Tennessee in 2023 and this role will be critical in helping us get there. This person will organize and manage activities to raise funds for the Side-by-Side Program, and all other 431 service areas, working with the marketing team and Executive Director. The fundraising consultant needs to be highly energetic and outgoing to build relationships within the community to solicit and gather monetary donations and in-kind gifts. This person will be a key face of 431 Ministries to raise awareness of our organization's work, goals, and financial needs.

Employment Type: Part time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $15-17 per hour
Hybrid role (both in-person and remote requirements)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development of fundraising strategies to encourage new or increased contributions
Secure donation commitments from individuals, churches and business/corporate connections
Develop and assist in implementation of fundraising activities, such as annual giving campaigns, direct mail programs and recurring donations
Identify and build relationships with potential donors, using phone, email and in-person communications
Create or update donor databases, and write/send letters of thanks to donors
Compile or develop materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations
Assist in supervision of fundraising volunteers
Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events
Attend community events, meetings, or conferences to promote organizational goals or solicit donations or sponsorships
Write reports or prepare presentations to communicate fundraising program data
Prepare materials such as fundraising envelopes, bid sheets, or gift bags for charitable events
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently and as a team leader, able to determine next steps to keep things moving
Availability to work and travel outside of regular business hours
Demonstrated understanding of best practices in fundraising
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Ability to creatively overcome negative responses to inquiries
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Businesses, or Marketing
3-5 years in a relevant or related field, such as Business, Sales or Fundraising
Strong experience with data analysis, budgeting, and reporting
Experience managing deadlines and people
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, customer relationship management (CRM) software and social media platforms
Valid driver's license
